it's theoretically possible for even just one to be in the state

 

I agree.. But what really baffles me is why the State if West Virginia doesn't have a breeding population.. The terrain there is rugged, plenty of undisturbed habitat and places where they can hide,, me no understand.. :headscratch:

They just haven't gotten there yet.  Remember, 100 years ago there were virtually no forests here on the east coast.  No habitat = no critters.  The forests have returned over the past 50 - 80 years and with it so will the critters.

Hey, was just reading this.  Up in Warren county there have been multiple people who have spotted mountain lions.  IN particular immediate family members of mine who know what a bobcat and coyote is.  They are here.  Very small pop.  But they’re here.
