Bowhunt for Wounded Warriors sponsored by NJOA Environmental Projects

We are currently seeking Veterans to apply to bow hunt in North Jersey this coming fall. There is a mandatory proficiency test in August and support can be provided in a number of ways.

Deer camp will take place from October 21 through the 25, 2013 and all the information and link to apply can be found on the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance Website -- just click on the Environmental Projects section.

New Jersey Veterans are preferred (although we appreciate the service of all our Vets). This hunt is meant to help someone who wanted to hunt before their injury or have had difficulties getting back in to the field after their injuries. Each individual is treated according to their disabilities, experience and needs. We have an EMT-B on the premises and mentors who go into the field with each hunter.

If you have any questions, you can contact John Zampini or me and we would be happy to answer any questions. Our contact info can be found with the information on the hunt. Thank you for your help in getting the word out.

Thanks, Partner.Thumb_up

Well, if me being "outed" helps the cause, then it's fine by me partner! LOL

On a more serious note, if any of you out there know of a Veteran who is challenged in some way by either exposure, or injury, suffered during their service to our country, and you feel a program such as this might help them to enjoy a brief respite from that challenge, please put them in touch with Pola or myself and we will try our best to accommodate them if at all possible.

You would be surprised how just a day or two back in the field, enjoying a hunt that these special individuals may have felt was no longer possible for them to enjoy, can change their outlook to one of possibilities and hope.

If they come away from their experience in this program with nothing more than hope for the future...we will have accomplished the goal of the NJOA-EP and Hudson Farm.

We thank you for your support.

Didn't the wounded warriors foundation come out as anti gun?

No! The one that is anti-gun is;" The Wounded Warrior Project"

We are not related to The Wounded Warrior Project except to send an invitation for them to share with their Veterans. This hunt is coordinated by the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance Environmental Projects 501©(3). We are part of the charitable arm of the NJOA.
