spltlim Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Mossberg 835, Pure Gold .670 Choke, Bushnell 1-4X scope with an ATI Scorpion stock to help tame the recoil. Shooting Hevi-shot Magnum Blend and Hevi-shot #7's
BHC Posted April 3, 2013 Author Posted April 3, 2013 Split, nice gun !!! Those 835 are true turkey killers, as well as shoulder killers. I was going to put the ATI stock on my 835 last year, just never got around to do so, does it really help with recoil? I got my my 835 for 14 plus years, never any issues with it
spltlim Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 helps alot with the recoil, also being able to adjust the stock length is a huge plus and if you shoot with a scope or red dot sight you can adjust the comb for perfect stock weld.

Bucksnbows Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I just shoot one of my 870 pumps, blued with natural wood. Camo is nice, but the turkeys seem to die just fine without it https://www.troutscapes.com/ https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board
BowhunterNJ Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Only a couple more days, can't wait to see the turkey reports from you guys! I don't turkey hunt anymore, but really enjoy reading about the hunts!
Matty Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 How does anyone stop turkey hunting? I imagine someday I'll be in a wheelchair, wearing adult diapers and eating baby food again, but I'll still be hunting turkeys. “I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear
