Anyone have any cool gun projects coming up?

I am in the process of buying a couple 870s and making a predator/turkey gun and maybe tactical home defense gun. Might just buy one though.

Also ordered a new trigger frame and magazine casing for my 22-250 so that I can convert the 5 round box mag to a 10 removable mag.

Going to duracoat both shotguns and possibly my 22-250 after the new magazine is installed.

I am in the process of building a 6.5 creedmoor on a custom REM 700 action with a Timmney trigger with a Nightforce benchrest scope.I just orders a Keriger match grade barrel and am waiting the said 3.5 to 4 months. After I assemble it it will be creocoated.I can't wait to start working up some loads and start shooting at a 1000 yards.I am also waiting on a stock from Boyds for a Remington 700 7 mm to arrive.

Sounds awesome. Are you interested in starting a thread and update us on the gun build? Add some pics?

BTW - I am looking to get a Timney Trigger for my Weatherby 22-250. Just a matter of time.

Im in the process of customizing a bushmaster AR15 from bone stock. basically just adding new accessories on a budget. i got a great deal on the rifle a few weeks ago. im adding sights, red dot, rail, grips, etc..it wont be anything spectacular but it will be exactly what i want. maybe we can start some "how to" threads for guys with average knowledge like myself. looking forward to seeing what you guys are doing.

Yeah they sure do. The gun is very accurate and upgrading the trigger will just squeeze that much more potential out of the gun. I may free float the barrel and replace the stock entirely if I dont paint it. Saw one I liked on Bell and Carlson website

From the Weatherby site

Match Quality Two-Stage Trigger is "creep free" for consistent let-off. Each trigger is hand-honed, factory-tuned and inspected for a clean, crisp break, improving shooter accuracy. Fully adjustable down to 2.5 lbs. Trigger housing is constructed of lightweight alloy.

I'm searching for a 257 Vangurad II and thought they had improved the trigger?

I don't know about 2 stage triggers maybe in the brand new ones.I shot a few vanguards that were about 4 years old and the triggers were terrible. They had as much creep as the remmington triggers.Red you should check out the Vanguard RC I heard the were great Cabelas also has a vanguard with the wood lazermark stock if you like wood better.

Please keep us updated as your project goes on !!!

I was going to do a complete custom job on a Savage 220f, I contacted Jeff (Jcchartboy) who is very knowledgeable and he gave me some great ideas and some leads on who to contact, but the price for just the work itself was well out of the ballpark
