03/01/2013 - Florida Tampa Bay and Canal Fishing

Tough day of fishing here in FL today, pretty cold and winds blowing probably 20+ with gusts 30+. Dad and I took a trip down to a park about 30 min away but both of us goose egged. We were the only ones fishing there, which pretty much never happens...maybe the locals "just know"

 

We came back to the canals by where he lives and he managed to land a few speckled trout. I spent a fair amount of time taking pics today, so more to edit once I get home. Also a cool encounter with a raccoon...got some video and pics, will post when I get home!

Still better then my day .. Worked on truck all day .. Final got it to throw a check engine lite.. Yes I get to work on it again.... Yeah heard Florida getting a cold snap this weekend?

Man that sucks, hopefully the code gives you something to work off of. I was watching your other thread on it, sorry I couldn't add anything...I'm mechanically inhibited! haha

Dude it was freezing down here today! For FL standards, it's probably like NJ being about -10. No one was fishing, a few people out and about walking the park...that's unheard of, usually packed with both, struggle to even find parking.

Amazing how the weather is this year.. But hey you're enjoying time with Dad... Trust me I spend 3 days a week at RWJ with mine...rather be doing it with him somewhere else

 

As to my truck.. It's like a boat spend spend spend..lol

Yeah, that's all I care about, just being down here and spending time with him. Whether we catch anything isn't even important, just an added bonus!
