Scrubby rack buck Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Took a little weekend trip with some friends to world end state park in PA.. the Cabins were very nice, heated by a wood burner insert, it had a refridge and stove.. the cabin we stayed in was supposed to sleep 8. basicly it had 2 full size bunk beds so unless you want to spoon with someone it slept 4 guys comfotably..the same with the 4 person cabins.. it basicly slept 2 unless you went with your wife and kids.. the park itself was really nice, appearntly the stream that runs through the park is stocked with trout.. and more than half the park is open to hunting plus there is alot of state land surrounding the park. it was a really nice area.. plus the community bathrooms are very clean and heated.. Im thinking of maybe going up during trout season or even during the PA rifle season...bottom line is I would defiantly go back.. the guys I went up with are thinking about taking a family trip up in the early fall.. Tailchaser joined us on the trip ( always great to get a chance to hang out with john)... maybe he could chime in a little about the trip..
Jeff M Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Sounds like a nice little weekend ya had there scrub Hey, I once got handed down underwear and a paperclip for Christmas, and it was a great gift. - Si
BowhunterNJ Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Sounds like a nice trip. Yeah in my experiences from going to cabins in upstate NY to fish in the summer..."sleeps" is based on how many people they can fit in a bed. If it's a guy's trip...unless you plan on snuggling with one of them, might be a good idea to get a bigger cabin
Jeff M Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Same here after my trips to upstate NY..I mean we just used the cabin to sleep after fishing all day..but it's nice to go back to your own space after a long day on the water Hey, I once got handed down underwear and a paperclip for Christmas, and it was a great gift. - Si
BowhunterNJ Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 And for anyone that has had to share a continent....I mean a bedroom with TDaly25...you'll soon realize you are in a scary place filled with undersized tighty whities and snoring that rivals any lumberjack's chainsaw!

Devil Horns Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I love Worlds End. My grandfather had a cabin up there when I was a kid. I spent Lot of time there growing up. You should check out the bow festival. It is right outside the park in Forksville. It is usually in the beginning of September after Labor Day. I'm your Huckleberry

lefteye Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I shot my first deer in Worlds End in 1970! I have fished the Loyalsock Creek a few times and caught native brookies. I don't think I ever waded in water that cold anywhere else in PA. There's a lot of neat little towns in Sullivan County. My wife and I stayed in Eagles Mere, which is close and very nice. If you go to Worlds End you need to stop at the Forksville General Store. Actually, you'll have to if you need anything. The Forksville Inn is south on Rte. 87 a short way and has great food.
