Funny net stories

[Killer]

So most of you that know me know I hate using a net. So when my good friend Eddie yells for a net I get a little upset. I look over and his bogan rod is bent in half. I tell him he is stuck on the bottom and he should just break it off. He says it's pumping hard and taking drag. So I grab a knife and tell him to reel it in and whatever it is I will stab. I remind him that it is no net Friday and now he begins to plead with me to grab the net. I keep the it in the rocket launcher and now have to climb to get it. Of course it gets wrapped up in the reel which is in the holder next to it and I can't get it untangled so I let it go. I suggest just stabbing it again but he doesn't like the idea. Now his ass hooked sea robin is really putting up a fight so I move in for a closer inspection and as I do the wind picks up and my hair which is on the long side gets wrapped up in his reel. At this point i still have the knife in my hand, the net is hanging from the other rod and swinging hitting us In the head, and my hair is spooled up with 50 pound braid. Again I have a great idea to just cut his line so I don't damage my hair but he has other plans as he reaches for the knife. Lucky for me the foul hooked skate makes another run and frees most of my hair. I see in his eyes that he has had enough fun and I grab the net along with the rod it's tangled with and now wait for him to pull in this stupid spiney dogfish. I can see out of the corner of my eye that my rod is getting hit but I focus on the task at hand. I'm guessing it's a big eel at this point. Im about to call his wife on the phone since we all know she can land big fish when he yells its a fluke. Not only does he have a nice size fatty, he also has a sea bass on the other hook which is just as big as the fluke. Even though i was a little rusty with my netting skills I was able to safely net both keeper fish. Now I just leave the net at the dock on Fridays.
