slugger Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Not a lot of action in the crossbow forum. Just wanted to ask what everyone shoots. Post below what crossbow you shoot and also your arrows if you'd like! I shoot a Parker Hornet Extreme and Parker Red Hot Bolts arrows.
Spent Brass Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I have the parker concord that is air operated cocking and love it.I shoot the red hot arrows and muzzy crossbow heads very accurate.Recocking the bow in the stand is a breeze and you can uncock it also with the air so no need to fire it once loaded.I just seen that a company just came out with the lighted capture nocks the other day will be ordering them this weekend Hunting and fishing is not a sport to me its a way of life:rock:

Drop Tine Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I have the original Parker Tornado w/ RedHot Illuminated Scope and also the New Parker Tornado F4 w/ RedHot Illuminated Scope. Both Xbows shoot great.... Fast, Extremely Accurate, Very Light, and Compact Design.... I use RedHot Crossbow Arrows and SlickTrick Mag. 100's with both. Even though I own the new F4 and it's clearly is a tad more powerful and faster over the original Tornado. I only sighted it in, but never actually took it out hunting, mainly because I just like the original tornado much better... I chose to by the F-4 because I started to have an issue with excessive string wear at the cam connecting points of the original Tornado, so after going threw 3 sets of strings and cables in only a years time (2 that failed while shooting), Parker and Rob from Targeteers replaced the complete front end assembly for me back in November making it basically a brand new Xbow too...since then I've had zero problems with the strings or cables. }}}--I certainly do chase New Jersey's BIG Bucks, BIG Birds, and BIG Fish--->Best Bow Buck to date; 2011 Gross; 142 6/8Best Gobbler to date; 2012 NWTF score of 77.5Best Northern Pike to date; 40" (Passaic River Pike )Best Muskie to date; (The hunt begins)

Liv2hunt Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I have a Parker Buckbuster 175 I shoot Gold Tip LazerII Bolts with Muzzy 100gr Broadheads.. Its a great weapon I X-bow during January I have had good luck the past 2 seasons... I Just want to Hunt...
RifledSlug Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Wicked Ridge Warrior and victory carbon bolts with 100 gr muzzy's. I've had it 2 seasons and have shot 2 deer with it. Hangs on my wall a lot as I didn't like hunting with it at first, clunky mofo's they are. Now I use a shooting stick in the stand and makes it a lot easier to be rock solid on the hold. My favorite way to hunt with the xbow is turkey style... ghillie suit, spot and stalk, set up on the ground leaning on a tree or turkey seat and have them come to me. Sitting on the ground, leaning back with the knees up makes for a perfect shooting position and have had them within 10-12 ft of me never winding or seeing me. I'm actually in the market for a Parker Challenger xbow for my kid. Two out of the 3 boys will be doing hunters ed and taking bow tests during the off season and out for their first season next September. The 10 year old can't draw 35# yet but the Challenger is a smaller, draw adjustable xbow that fits him perfectly. Would've bought one in VA when we stopped at a store driving through but they only had the pink camo, he wouldn't go for it LOL. The 13 year old will be shooting a compund. Can't wait for next season. The Constitution only guarantees the American people the right to pursue happiness. YOU HAVE TO CATCH IT YOURSELF - Benjamin Franklin
SuperOx Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I just got a CAMX Chaos 325 this past Christmas. Waiting for the warmer weather to set up the targets in the yard and take her for a test run. Can't wait!!
jerseyhunter Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Ten Point HLX. Wondering if I should sell my Mathews as the Shoulders aren't what they used to be. Maybe I'll just turn down the poundage as I enjoy shooting it more than the Xbow, Got to start practicing more with my recurve and long bow. I guess as you get older you digress back to your childhood. Which may be a good thing.
sussexcohunter Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 parker bushwacker..i figured i would go on the cheaper side since i couldnt see what a more expensive xbow would do...comments? cause i would love to find a reason to buy a new one!...
