remingtonman1108 Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Was down at our shore house in Ocean City, NJ for the holiday weekend and finally caught the Otters in the act. I was out on the deck around 6:45am this morning to take some shots of the frozen over lagoon at low tide and I turn and see these dudes breaking the ice and going for a swim. Before I know it they hoped out of the water, onto the neighbors dock, ran up the ramp and were in a sprint heading right at me along the bulkhead. Shot it at f/4. Wasn't quite ready for the running of the otters. Would have like to had a chance to have more depth in the pic but I'll take what I can get right now lol
Scrubby rack buck Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 THAT is an awesomw shot.. definatly frameworthy... very nice

hammer08 Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 That came out great! OC has always been the beach I go to. I had no idea there are otters there. Freedom is a light for which many men have died in darkness
silver Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 You got lucky with some great lighting on the 1st otter. Great.
remingtonman1108 Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 Im in OC all the time' date=' never seen an otter. Nice shot. [/quote'] See them every time I am at the house. 98% of the time in the water early in the AM. the other 2% are spent crapping on my dock...
NJTrapper Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 That's great. Right place at the right time.
rgw Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 right time would of been 2 weeks ago holding a otter permitt, a fish and a conni 330
remingtonman1108 Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 Yeah, an otter permit would have been key. I know where they live! LOL
