Haven’t been in 25 yrs …been trying to get out there past few yrs…my pal is going Wednesday but I have a work thing to attend….which day is best to go with regards to less busy, traffic, better deals, etc….do exhibitors really tend to sell stuff cheaper on last day or two to unload inventory??

any chance I can find 35 REM ammo out there??!!  Lol

Welp…wife is away for the weekend and now I’m thinking I should try and take the kids on Sunday for a long day trip instead of burning a day off work during the week. Worth it or too crowded on this Sunday?

Your call. Me personally, I have never gone on a weekend. Sundays are for God, beer, and NASCAR

Superbowl Sunday is the best day to go if you're not into football.

Will be getting to the show tomorrow about 230. Should I try to park in the lot right behind the show or take a shuttle.  Don’t  want to get stuck in a traffic jam somewhere. Thanks.

Please post the answer to what you did with parking. I'm going later this week

I went last year and parked in the Bass Pro Shop lot. There was a free shuttle running every half of an hour. Dropped you off in front and back in the lot afterwards.

Went yesterday lots of people, tons of displays, ton of outfitters and barely any lines to talk to anyone to get info on a hunt… minimal shotgun slugs but they had lots of other ammo.

Enjoy if you go was way better than what I was expecting

First time visitor to the GAO. 2.5 hrs to go on my second and last day. Here are my takeaways.

1. Main hall is outfitters selling hunting trips and taxidermy. If you can't afford or don't have interest in a guided hunt, take some pictures and keep walking. You'll save some time.

2. Seminars throughout the day and they give you plenty of time to make it to different sections the seminars are taking place. I take notes on my phone, one less book to carry. I probably did three on day one and 2 on day two. Both days I took a break and watched the dock dogs pool jump.

3. If you're buying food or beverages bring a credit card!! Vendors selling goods are taking cash but have the credit card handy.

4. You CAN do the entire show in one day! If you plan on talking to outfitters you'll maybe want a couple of extra days.

5. BEWARE OF THE SNAKE OIL SALESMEN AND WOMEN!!!

6. You're visiting an event in PA... Ask if you can grab a few extra plastic bags. I explain I'm visiting from a communist state that prohibited plastic bags.

7. Bring a backpack. You'll need it for fliers and the nick nacks you may end up buying.

Will I comeback next year? If I do someone else wants to tag along.

As of the moment I'm considering a road trip to the NRA show in Indianapolis.

I went yesterday.  Parking and crowds were not bad.  I parked at the main lot.  Food was expensive and credit only, but it was good.  I recommend the gyros and milkshakes.  Overall everything seemed expensive and I felt that there were less gun manufacturers than when I went four years ago.  I enjoyed speaking with the outfitters and I am planning a goose hunt and bowfishing trips this year.  Glad I went and I will be back.

Main lot parking is $10, credit card only. I got there yesterday at 1:30 and the main lot was full. Had a good time walking around looking at everything. I didn’t buy anything.

Wasn't impressed this year, alot of the big bow and firearms makers were not there. Only worth going if you want to book a hunt imp.
