I will be out in a few hours. First nj shotgun week hunt for me in a few years

Self hunt with a friend of mine that lives down there. He has access to his property and 2 farms.

Thurs and friday I took the bow in hopes of shooting a nice buck with it but only does and a few small bucks presented the chance so I passed. My buddy wasn't seeing many deer so we did some scouting and the famer took us for a ride on the tractor and showed us some spots that have recently plowed with stands that haven't been hunted in years. So we decide to hunt these 2 new stands rifles this time friday nite. My buddy chooses his. I gave him some old timer from Redneck's pride He put out a wick and a little j trail. Well a little warm but not bad and at 5:10pm I hear a shot. 5:15 I get the call and go and meet him at the stand and he shoot a nice 8 pt that came out licking the old timer and dropped him in his tracks.

Well just got back from my annual SC Deer hunting trip. Went down for a week and the action didn't pick up until midweek. Sunday 1st day of hunting saw a doe.The beginning of the week I mostly saw otters in the creek behind the stand and a few does. On tues. I ventureded to the NASCAR Hall of Fame.On wed. It warmed up didn't see much in the morning. Got in the stand late wed. 4pm it was hot and long walk in. I put out a J of tc plus and climbed up the stand and within 10 mins I heard some crashing and something and coming in well it was a nice deer chasing a doe came out and looked like a good one so he gave me a shot and I took it. 135 yrds with the 30/06. My buddy heard the shot and called me and came to meet me at my stand. Went to the area of the shot. Found some blood and 30yrd track job got my 8pt.

Hopefully with this weather the birds cooperate with you guys. I may be in a tree stand for my fist hunt of the year instead of in the marsh

This was a very informative mink show. Heck I think it went over 2 hrs and well worth the listen for anyone wanting to trap mink or just expand the knowledge of the bottom edge set

I have one and love it, I use it for turkey with the red dot and choke. And in the fall it is my waterfall gun. I never had a problem with it , But never shot 2 3/4 out of either
