Sat this morning and had a spike chasing a doe in circles. Other than that, very quiet. very nice morning though.

Congrats Grey. Sat the morning and only saw a spike around 10am. A few errands and now back at it. Camera has lots of activity the last two nights with some nice deer moving. Hopefully the cold weather and does have them moving during daylight. Good luck everyone.

Good luck today everyone. Deer were moving well on my drive to work.
-
Had to work today but saw a very large 8 stiff legged walking across the road on the way to work. They are moving with the cooler temps. Good luck everyone.

Agreed. I have seen very early rutting activity in various years and also have taken mature bucks early on 10/15 and 10/18. Both were actively after and trying to finish the deed on mature does that were very ready. Not much "chasing" so to speak. Many factors involved but it does vary a bit year to year.

I would assume so. I can see soldier piles and lagging w/ tiebacks in the future for this project or even some chemical grouting for rigidity one they tear down and rebuild that base. I am curious where the runoff from above was going and whether or not there was proper drainage and weepholes behind the wall for all the hydrostatic pressure.

It really depends on where you are going with this......lol Everything most of us enjoy here is/are inherently dangerous, so yes, def. a contradiction in terms. (Especially for this event)
-
I'll alert the Fire Department......everyone stay safe and have fun!

That area of 206/Clove Rd. always have accidents. Def. a steep area. I had a buddy of mine die a few years back right there.
-
NJ really does have some impressive deer. It always amazes me to see what this state can produce considering all the external factors the deer have to contend with. Pretty cool
-
So would I but it is in a no hunting area. Always a teaser.
-
Found a few years ago. Matching set and one side of a non typical. Couldn't find the other side.

Would you shoot an Albino Deer or Pie Bald I would.
elusive replied to bushden's topic in General Hunting Discussion
Piebald ,Yes. Especially this one. She was one of the smartest does in the area and picked me off 5-6 times over the past three years. This year I saw her twice and the second time I moved my stand and she gave me a chance to take her after about 45 minutes of scanning the area and moving about 2' at a time until she came into range. Albino, no.
