  1. Good post Bill43:up: I don't understand if guys are tired of the site then why come here and continue crying about it, leave it behind and move on. You didn't like the bashing there but you're doing the same thing here now. So i guess then bashing is no good unless it's your brand of it
  2. On top of the solid rib is says Armas Erri Sci Gotbar made in Spain. It has 24" barrels and choked F/M. It is an older sxs that was never used, not a mark on it. His uncle gave it to him when he passed his hunter safety course. The kid shoots it great, on the B course at lehigh valley he shot a 68 which is great for an 11 year old. BTW nice refinish job Red, looks great
  3. Hey guys, Red posted some beautiful engraved doubles in another thread. Let's see your working doubles. On top is my sons Spanish 20ga and below is my favorite Model B with 30" barrels. Man in the days of lead for ducks this was my Woody slayer
  4. You got that right. My son had a similar experience with his Language arts teacher. His wasn't about guns though it was about hunting. His teacher tried to explain to him that HSUS and the great things they do would be a better project, this is where my 11 year old really used his head. He wrote another piece about HSUS and how they have a failing rating as a organization and 54% of their donations go to lawyers salaries and plush offices and not one dime goes towards conservation, this is where it really got good. He then proceeded to go back to talking about hunting and how millions of dollars are raised towards conservation through the purchase of hunting licenses. He then challenged her that if she really cared about animals he would show her how to purchase a license, even though she doesn't like hunting pointing out that atleast she would get some money to help the animals instead of buying a HSUS lawyer a new suit. Moral of the story...don't challenge a kid with good values and access to google to present facts that desimate a teachers liberal propoganda
  5. I agree with TDaly and Sugar, look used for that price range. Start off with something around 45#, I've shot a 45# bow which at my draw lenth is around 50#. Plenty of penetration with the right arrow/broadhead combination. The key is to develop good form which leads to accuracy.
  6. #4 shot:up:The first shots you don't really need 4's but after that they wise up pretty quick, an owl decoy helps too
  7. I just don't have the words....so sorry
  8. That craftmanship is second to none. After looking at them I look at my working double and go soft:eyebrow:
  9. The longer the better, notice by the ingredients it's not a super aggressive brine, overnight is a minimum to me.
  10. A friend and I are looking into a South Dakota Pheasant hunt, nothing set in stone yet
