To the OP, I’ve been bow hunting the same piece for 5 seasons now and have only saw two bucks and killed one. So don’t feel bad. I think they hole up in brush you can’t see 10 yards into and don’t move until after dark.

Yeah the wind shifted and he caught a whiff, he didn’t bust outta there, just quickly walked back the way he came from.

Yesterday I had a awesome buck come within 30 yards of my loc on stand, few seconds away from shooting him and the wind swirled and he trotted off. Should I take the climber and move 50 - 100 yards in the direction he came from or just stay put ? He came charging in but I’m not sure why because there was no other deer around. Thought I should also add this is on public land. Any advice is appreciated.
