  1. You can go to the town of Catskill and launch from there. Once you fish NY you'll never buy a NJ license again.
  2. Bucks& bows knocked it out of the park. Truer words could not be spoken. Very well put. Pretty nice over here, there's actually some intelligent life found
  3. Before you decide on any breed, why don't you go and hunt with someone who has dogs to find out what it's all about. Then you'll be able to make up your own mind on what it is you do and don't like. Remember you're gonna have this animal for a long time!!!!!!! I'm sure there would be people who have dogs that would take you. There's allot to consider. Don't just take someone's word who's had 1or 2 dogs from one breed they have nothing to compare. It's been my experience it's usually GSP people saying buy this one or buy that one, it's more than likely their first pointing dog that they've ever owned and they've had a good experience and I think that's wonderful. I'm not knocking anyone or any breed just saying to you there's a ton of really good dogs out there find out for yourself what it is and which one YOU like. For me if it doesn't have a tail and start with the word ENGLISH well i stop right there but that's ME. Best of luck if I can answer any questions I'll try.
  4. Please pm me or email and I'll be happy to send pics and give you a # if you're serious and I'll answer all questions.
  5. I have coming 4yr old male setter for sale. He's a strapping male, tricolor. has been hunted extensively on wild birds. Primarily in Maine. He loves hunting Woodcock!!! This dog has not been spoiled in anyway and would better anyone's breeding program and be an asset to one's kennel. He's an easy keeper and have no issues with this fine male. Reason for sale is I'd want to concentrate more on Pointers again. I will be happy to show interested parties Brody you would not be disappointed. Have referrals if need be. Thanks
  6. For those of you following this thread don't believe any information buck's and bows or lou is putting out there are no more grouse anywhere. They're all extinct now so back to hunting ditch chickens and everyone knows I NEVER LIE. Just crushing stones guys. could forward to anyone interested what I got back fro the state of MAINE. Was told pretty much the same thing. After short term findings and studies what they're finding so far what is affecting grouse populations the most there is West nile virus then predation. With the number of trappers on the slide they are seeing more coyote hawks and the likes take their toll on numbers. But have been told the number one killer is west nile. Carry on
