  6. gsp most popular in nj. i am on no. 4 myself. i have hunted mine in nj pa iowa nebraska montana north and south dakota and maine. montana has the best bird population. iowa was like steping back in time of the mid sixties in pa. add quail now the bird population is spoty. that drop in bird population drove us to hunt south dakota didnt like the type of hunting they did. then on to montana sharp tails huns and phesants. ducks if you hit the weather right. you can take an after noon off birds and shoot a muley buck. woodcock are good to train the dogs on. we would hunt both sides of the del. river nj and pa for two limits a day.

    Fuel prices

i get 20 bucks at the cheapest stations i know about . so in my mind it never goes up or down. pburg in nj and airport rd in pa are good . in tamaqua pa i go to a small station next to a big station who was always cheapest. the small guy charges .10 cents less just to piss the big guy off.
  8. pa dumps dead bear and deer in pits on game lands. i pulled a dead doe out of my pond in a patch of cattails. i called the game warden office and they said dump it on a game lands. this past week i had a 200 lb 8 point under a pine tree by my barn. first thing in the morning i called the local game warden that lives a few roads from me.no way was i going to dump this beauty in some parking area. he came right over and we looked it over and came up with it got hit by a car. my neighbor said he saw two like it eating at his apple trees the day before.we loaded it into his carrier and he took it to a near by butcher who does deer for thr needy.

  10. waywayanda belonged to farber no 2 pencils you used in grade school under the name of sussex woodlands. another owner was us lead co. even vernon had a grade school near gw lake turnpike and the applachin trail.
  11. when my boys were in grade school a friend fished the ponds on the cape around the goose hummic shop. thats all they talked about untill we went. i rowed them around the ponds for hours. my wife and daughter were at the beach. the water was so cold i called it the north atlantic. the kids would swim in the tide water trapped on the beach above the tide. the wife was digging for razer clams and cut her finger big time. off i was for medical supplys. we stayed at a beach house that belonged to my high school base ball coach but he sold it that winter.
  12. i had beavers come upstream to my pond and by morning they had a house built. the power co had a truck stuck in a wet area down stream. the truck was stuck about a week and they made my pond home. i got them to leave by droping 2" salutes around the house something worse than the stuck truck. the next time it happened i called the wardens and they set a trap baited with scent, it did nothing. the power co stoped getting stuck and things went back to normal for now. i did have an old guy stop and ask if he could trap the pond. he was trapping the farms around the area. he got a bunch of beavers on a farm on the next road from me that flooded a corn field, she rented to pay her taxes. the woman passed away and her sisters from the city would come to the farm as they were all born there, to clean up. the trapper came and they chased him away, he left insulted and soon he gave it up.
  13. good luck, one of my best hunts was in chugwater wyo. for antelope. my son and i scored on two big bucks full curl and 14"mass. we hunted on a 20,000 ac ranch. we filled our off time on coyites ,badgers and hawks. the owner raised pheasants and had a hawk permit. flew in and out of denver never again. good luck, bob kudile
  14. fred back in the 50's that was known as the parr farm. a bunch of hunters from pinecliff lake would hunt it including my brother and i. in later years the state logged it and on saturdays they let people cut the tree tops, that was the carter years. i would take my gsp's back there for grouse and woodcock until a black bear up on a side hill had a stair down with the dogs me and the wife. jungle habit was across the gwl turnpike along with a&w root beer stand. my brother shot a deer along the gwl turnpike up in the woods, when he started to gut the deer it jumped up and ran off with his ll bean knife.
