My buddy just repowered his 36 GW with trip 300 yamahas from 2 350's. We will take care of breakin going after stripers then we will be ready to head off shore. Hopefully we get that inshore bite again! Brought my boat down to the marina on Monday. Striper fishing should be heating up soon with the big ones moving in.

2021 was my last year there. I was assigned a spot but often found it occupied by other boats. Additionally my boat would occasionally get moved and I would have to hunt around for it. I quickly got use to it and it was a non issue for me. I was there to fish not complain. Maybe it was a covid related issue with a high volume of boats, that particular spring/summer was quite busy on the bay.

I was there for 2 seasons and I had no issues. Its a great location for quick access to bay ocean and river. Plenty of fresh water for cleaning boat and flushing motor. It can be a bit of a free for all as your spot isnt really the spot you will always be in but I always found a place. I ultimately left to get rack storage at Gateway Marina but its 3x the price.

Just did mine. government owes us 20 k. Thank god for overpaying. Wish I could charge interest.

That area has some of the best duck, bear, and deer hunting in the state! Duck hunt by the old Elsie’s bar. Deer hunt off colony road. Locals will try to scare you off but it’s an absolute honey hole.

Headed out first light Wednesday morning with nothing but terrible fishing reports from Tuesday and over night. Against advice, our crew of three decided to go anyway. Got out to Bacardi around 1030am passing a friends boat who got shut out on a 36 hour trip. Chunked some butter fish and tossed into the water and before we could get the third line out we were hooked up. I landed a yellowfin on a sardine right on the bottom. “Shit this is easy” … Nope. Got shut out for the next 4 hours before we hooked up again. Pulled the hook after a quick 5 minute fight. Another dead couple hours, boats cleared out, and right before last light I hand fed one, fought it for about 25 minutes and pulled the hook. Hooked up another sardine and started pulling out line bam! Again hooked up but fish went directly to the stern and the line hit the motors and it was over. Headed back in around 8pm. Ended 1 for 4 but it was beautiful and the water was glass. Just love the ride and being out there. The whales put on a nice show all day.

Yea I can understand that. Property maintenance is costly and constant. You have a better chance renting with a better price but hell if you can get that price awesome for you.

Agree 100 percent. I actually thought he would pay someone to shoot bears. Now I realize he wants money lol.
