Povidone Iodine for tick bite?
tick trawler replied to tick trawler's topic in General Recreation Discussion
The infamous plum island facility closed down decades ago but there are still numerous bioweapon production facilities operating worldwide in an effort to develop pathogens used as agents in the destruction of livestock and of humanity. They want us dead. 10% povidone iodine is one useful tool in the fight against lyme disease that when deployed properly and in a timely manner can stop the spirochete before it proliferates into your bloodstream. Iodine kills the spirochete. If it has spread to your bloodstream it is because it has multiplied locally from a dirty tick bite. In the not too distant past one couldn't get a doctor to proscribe doxycycline without a positive test. When faced with future medicine shortages due to import restrictions during war It will pay to have an edge and in this case that edge is 10% povidone iodine. -

Povidone Iodine for tick bite?
tick trawler replied to tick trawler's topic in General Recreation Discussion
Picked up my first tick in the outdoors of Sussex county this week. They haven't been that bad around here so far. This one had been embedded for around 24 hours so I did the iodine smear over the area (about a 5 inch circle of smeared and dried povidone iodine around the bite) after I removed it. So far so good. I am aware there is not always a rash however I seem to be particularly susceptible to getting the rash prior to the flu-like symptoms. As a side note, my 87 year old Dad never had any problems taking the doxycycline for lyme symptoms, so no worries there if you need to take a full course of it. Time to get out the spray can of permethrin i guess. -

Why no "pumpkin" balls for deer hunting in NJ?
tick trawler replied to GetOutdoors's topic in General Hunting Discussion
Clearly I was referring to "buck and ball". This shotgun shell round or muzzleloader loading of the past consisted of buck shot sized round balls mixed in with one very large round ball. Deadly at close range, it was notoriously inaccurate at medium to long range. -

For the same reasons "buck and ball", fletchettes, and other bizzare projectiles are not allowed. They are inaccurate and flawed for the job at hand. Promoting them would be a detrimental campaign. -
Tammy Murphy firearm stance
tick trawler replied to Hunt-Fish247's topic in New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
The Murphy administration fears your firearms because of what they did to the people of New Jersey, which was the most despicable betrayal of public trust. Some of the higher ups probably knew all along the damage they would cause, yet they willingly participated anyway. They all fear facing justice for their participation in the vaccine crime against humanity. -
I think you would prefer a 20 inch barrel upper rather than 16 inch especially if you will be using the open sights. A heavy or bull barrel isn't desirable for field use due to its weight. A flat top upper gives you options, and retaining a standard front sight would be my preference. Fold-down rear ghost ring style sights are available that don't incorperate the carry handle. A chrome lined barrel would be a good choice. It became the standard for war due to the humid conditions in southeast asia.

Yep, good luck trying to apply rules to them that in practice apply only to us. They are their own nation with their own rules. -

Why is any of this drivel televised? It appears to be a mock trial.
