Since I'm home now, I'll be going back in the a.m. As the morning action was good untill the friggin hikers started showing up! Anyway, I got set up nice and early and as light came, I saw a doe running out of the cattail swamp, she stopped and looked back, I thought cool!! This'll be quick!! Then I saw movement behind her a buck!!! Well, a spike anyway. My girlfriend went out to Cali for the week and she sent me a text, but when I went to reply it somehow got sent to Jersey Jay! Lol so we started texting dark and forth, that's when I saw a bear off in the distance sitting in a cut corn field, I got out the binoculars, and just as I got it focused the bear takes off at a full run, with a GIGANTIC buck after him!!! As I texted Jay about it another large bodied deer came out of the cedars in front of me, but the wind was so bad it didn't hear me bleating at him, by the size of it I believe it was a buck, shortly after that the hikers came by, then some more, so I called it a day, will be back at it in the a.m.

Thanks, I'm hoping that since it's a Monday it may keep the hikers away!!! The trail dead ends right near my stand, they have to go out the way they came in, the good news is that the words getting out that it's a dead end so there seem to be less traffic over all these days, I've got a good feeling about tomorrow.
