Anyone heading out of state to hunt this year next year?

 

I'm almost done paying alimony, so next fall I'm heading out to Illinois and hunt our leases with the bow and shotgun

Likely headed to NY late November early December for a long weekend rifle hunt. Hopefully next year I'll be farther north.

Leaving next week for the Eastern Shore of Virginia for the muzzle loader season opener on November 5th. Will be back down later the following week again as well as the opening of the general firearms season later in November. Should be good.

I hope to head out of state again too. Me to my alimony ends in December. I have 3 points for Iowa already so i might try to do that. See what happens

NH trip for deer season as usual, but you knew that.  I'm in the moose lottery and have a farm I can hunt in NYS, but haven't in years.  Might make some trips out there, but I work way too much.

Yeah, you have to pay to be in it each year, and each consecutive year you're in the lottery you get extra points up to 6.

I grew up there, so I sort of know the area and where to hunt.  But it can be a complicated process if you're not familiar with the state.  But that link is the best starting point to learn more about the lottery and throw your name in the hat.

Yes, I think I have about 10 preference points.  Have drawn twice as an alternate, but never got called.  Also, put in for Maine every year.  Got drawn twice there, my daughter and I.  Also, make my donation to Pennsy. each year for an elk permit.
