Follow along "live" (post-mortem) as the owner of bowsite finishes his 6 day hunt, ending with his (and just about anyone else's buck of a lifetime). Self-filmed.  Read each day to get the full effect of the hunt and culmination with the brute.   The odd thing to me is, how it looks like a typical 140" buck when it faces the camera/shooter,  which is common up there on giant bodies... But when you view it from the side, it's holy ####!

Interesting story.  My two takeaways are:  1)  pee off your stand or around it, it won't spook deer; and 2) sit all day.

I think that last one is the best advice.  This hunt shows the rewards you get doing an all-day, and spending most if it in your stand.  I let a buddy of mine use my blind since I tagged out in the first couple of hours of the season.  He got there at 6AM and sat until 9:15AM.  Didn't see anything.  I wanted to beat him.  Deer come in at all times, he was just too impatient to sit the whole day.

Sapere aude.

Audeamus.

When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.
