Check those Xbow safety's

Saw this pic on line and figured I'd post it as a bit of warning the the Xbow guys. Be sure to check your safety's and be sure it's pointed in a safe direction. Although it's not a "gun" the same safety rules apply!

Never rest your crossbow on the toe of your boot.  Kind of like resting a loaded gun on the top of your boot.  It's just something that commonsense says you shouldn't do.

Must have been a horrible walk out of the woods.  Imagine being in a climber and doing that to yourself.

Sapere aude.

Audeamus.

When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.

I've heard of guys doing this with arrows that are shorter than the stirrup area.  They walk out with a loaded xbow and then decock it back at the vehicle (Excalibur's allow you to decock them for example).  Meanwhile they forget the BH tipped bolt is still in there and start to let down with their foot in the stirrup and a BH being let down right into the top of their foot!  With the way the decocking works (one armed let down while other hand pulls the trigger and pushes the anti-dry fire)...there's no way you're able to pull it back up.  The pressure locks your foot in place until it's all the way down.  YIKES!!!
