Full moon and heat wave

I'm waiting until this afternoon, when it's 80 degrees.

My thought was to only go in the morning, if at all.  My logic is go when the temps are lowest and deer heading back to bedding areas.  Then again I can outthink myself from the best buck on the best days by using my hunting "logic" lol.

My deer sightings have already taken a hit before the heat showed up. Ive made adjustments(multiple areas the last couple weeks) too but I think this past weekend they just waited longer than normal to get on their feet and start feeding. Full moon couldnt have helped daytime/legal shooting hours activity. Deer will always be taken by someone but in general it seems like a lot more guys are noticing a shift in sightings.

It was so warm this morning I nearly dozed off, and I should have, there was nothing moving bigger than a squirrel.

It sure feels like it, which is one of the reasons I don't usually hunt then.

I'll be out Thursday morning into early afternoon. Next week temps are in the 30s every morning!

It warmed up in a hurry this morning. Just sat and observed leaving Oscar and Miss October in the truck for a better day. The trouble with decoying is once the deer realize the ruse it is hard to fool them again.

Well we hunted in this heat and believe it or not the deer were up and feeding pretty early.
