My 679.5 lb bear

I've been busy so finally getting around to posting pics. My NJ archery bear weighed 679.5 dressed. The biologist said the internals weight approximately 18% of the dressed weight so that would make it an estimated 800lbs live weight. The bear doesn't look that big to me but the certified scale doesn't lie. Unfortunately I don't have any field pics due to the effort it took to drag him out and get to the check station on time. For those of you who will ask I will respectfully say he was shot in the woods, somewhere between the head and tail. :-). The hide is 7'2" long and a rough green score of the skull measured 21 3/4". Sahanas taxidermy did a great job skinning it out.

Congratulations - just saw it on FB.  Well done!   Bear of a lifetime anywhere on earth!  Was it with bow or cross-bow?  Hope to see it entered in P&Y along with many other NJ entries.
