I have a good buddy newer to deer hunting who keeps complaining he's never shot a big buck, but as I pointed out to him he needs to pass up the spikes he keeps shooting if he wants to get a big one.  Hard to kill a big buck if you filled your only tag with a spike....not that there's anything wrong with the spike, but you just can't complain about not shooting a big one is all.  Sounds like you guys are doing it right on that property.
