Hen vs Redtail Hawk!

Holy crap, just saw a flash in the corner of my eye outside my house and it was a hen flying after and chasing a red tail hawk in my yard.

The hen was going after the hawk HARD!

l tried to get some video of it but was too late.

Guessing maybe the hen has some poults the hawk was after?

I hear you.  We were sitting on the back porch this afternoon and a red-shouldered hawk dropped on a chipmunk right in front of us.  Sucked for the chipmunk but we thought it was pretty cool.
