Japanese Knotweed

I was at the Summit farmers market on sunday and a guy there was selling , Japanese Knotweed shoots and even spruce tree tips.....anyway unless ya got to eat this to survive I would imagine its pretty bad.....anyone ever try it..........

_{STAY AWAY from this. It is very invasive and hard to get rid of. My dad has it growing on the back of his property for years and its a never ending battle to keep it under control. I think it is banned in a few countries because it is so invasive.}

Absolutely , that s why it was a surprise that it is edible.....perhaps it can feed the hungry.....

Some road departments here in Jersey spray it with weed killers along the roadways. I don't know if that guy can legally sell it.

They were just selling the fresh cut shoots....it was like food gathered in the woods......I dont know ....ask a hippy.......
