After not hunting for 6 or 7 years due to school and commitments , my daughter surprised me this season

by saying to me she would like to go turkey hunting again.I was thrilled and after some pre season prep

we were out first thing on opening day.At 6 a distant rooster crowed which triggered a gobble approx 80 yards away . After a mock fly down using my hat , it sounded like he was on his way. What seemed like forever a beatiful strutter showed up on the ridge.I tried everything in my arsenal to have him close the distance. Just then I glanced down into my pack and spotted my Knight and Hale fighting purr, I made a real aggressive sequence and before I knew it he was heading right to us,before I could press record on my phone KABOOM! She made a great shot at 20 yards. Even though she has many deer and turkeys under her this one felt the 1st time all over again.image.jpeg this bird weighed 23 lbs

With a 10 inch beard,and 1and a quarter Spurs.

I smiled as I read your story.  Still hoping mine find their interest again.  Congratulations to your daughter on a very impressive gobbler

Excellent, real memory maker there!

God Bless.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
