Trout Fishing Surprise

Was fishing for trout yesterday in the lake. The rainbows have been hitting power bait pretty good so that was what I was fishing with. Looked up and saw the line running off the rod like no tomorrow. Picked up the pole, set the hook and the drag started screaming. Figured I had a state record trout the way the fish fought and was taking line. Fifteen minutes later with the help of another fisherman, (net I had with me was way too small), I had this guy at my feet.

 

 

Took him to the taxidermist this morning after keeping him on ice last night. 31" and 12.5 pounds. Gave me all I wanted on 6 lb test.
