long beard down

well last night I put them to bed, ran home to get my and my boys stuff together. around 9pm my boy and my cousin decide they want to do it on their own. almost in tears I put my gun away. I couldnt sit home so I went for the show and stayed at the truck. just after daybreak I here the woods screaming with hens and what sounded to be a good bird. I could here them working the bird and then silence for what seemed like forever then I finally here the 3.5 roar. few min later they came over the hill with smiles holding the bird. they even had enough time to check it in on their own before school. its the first bird I havent called in. I was estatic for them but wanted to cry at the same time. they grow up way to quick.
