If I had to chose between deer or turkey hunting I would definitely choose turkey,I just love listening to them get closer and closer,even if you don't get to seal the deal. Some of my best turkey hunts were days that I didn't score.

I have been trying to get one for a long time. I just don't have the patirnce. Seems like everytime I stand up and quit there he is looking at me. Who knows maybe this will be my year. Not that I don't have Turkey my place is loaded with them.

Anybody willing to take a newbie out? i went a couple years ago with a friend from njh and had a blast even tho i didnt get a bird. i know its a longshot but figured id ask.

Jason, it is a blast. I'm not sure which is more exciting -- having a deer come into view out of nowhere, or having a tom come into range after calling him in. At least with turkey, if they are around and are interested in your calling, you will get a response. Sometimes the toms are sneaky, but most times they are gobbling their heads off. Hope you have fun.:rock:
