Put a song dog down!

Have not been out predator hunting due to family and other stuff. Tonight was my first sit out and was not expecting to shoot a yote but for sure I would see a fox. Not even 2 minutes into my calling sequence I see a dark figure making a beeline towards my call which is in a small island of brush only 50 yards in front of me. Well I see it is a nice yote and I am thinking, shoot him at 100? At 80? No he is coming closer all the way to the call at 50! He turns to leave since he sees the call but no rabbit and I bark at him, he turns broadside looks my way and the 204 Ruger barks. He runs 40 yards and I have my first NJ song dog by calling one in! Been trying for 3 years and got it done tonight!! It was awesome and he will make a nice mount

Way to wait him out!  Always get a bit anxious when Mr. Fox comes inside of 100ya myself.

It is a Talon stock from Howa.

I used a Fox Pro Banshee using eastern cottontail 

Used Hornady 204 36 grain

Yes, it is a Nikko Stirling and I shot this yote at 5:30pm daylight
