A huge welcome :happywave: to all the new members who have recently decided to join us !!!

You will find no drama here, only outdoorsmen and women who support each other in their efforts to harvest game.

Best of luck to each and every one of you this season no matter what your quarry is or your chosen method of hunting !!! (Well, provided it's legal)

Hi, Jeff here, not sure if I put anything on this thread, chefhunter34 on the other site, love to hunt, but not this year, unless the Dr. clears me to climb the tree and mountain

I know most of the nice people from the other site are here, and they have been a great group of people. Hope you all do well this year and I am glad to be out of the other place, it is nice and calm here

It's only good for fishing.  If you use it for hunting, this is what happens:

Hi. Been fishing since I could walk.

Started going hunting with my when I was 5.
Got my bow license at 11 in 1981 with a bear wildcat 45# recurve that got from a friend of my Dad and still have it.

Went to college in WV so I could hunt fish or shoot almost every day.

Hunted and fished every chance I could through my 20's. Then work got in way. Just started hunting again last year after taking 15 off

Hey Guys

JMDHunter here.  Bergen County and hunting zones 36, 3 and Sterling Forest.  Late bloomer for hunting but am fully addicted to it and my wallet will attest to that.  Avid bowhunter and still looking for first gun deer which everyone laughs at because Ive dropped a bunch with a bow but cant seem to freaking come across one with a gun and have the right tag at the same time.  ON the other site but waiting to be banned or something so here I am.  FYI I'm a lawyer and a wiseass and lifetime member of the NRA so can you say Make America Great Again?  I can!

Hello all, Im Matt and I'm here from that other terrible site that we don't want to talk about. Ive been hunting and fishing for over over 20 years in the garden state and most of the east coast. Looking forward to sharing stories and having some fun. Good luck to all of you this season and be safe out there.

I'm yet another transfer from the other site where I am a long time member.  I used to post but got tired of the nonsense so stopped.  I am joining here because this seems like what a forum should be about.

Hi all,

Names Danny...29 years old...originally from Newark

First time hunter...got into it after watching some sportsman's channel programs and listening to a couple of podcasts...been shooting a bow for close to a year now, so I think I could muster a decent shot at 20-30 yards on an animal.

Looking to get a permit for fall turkey season as well as a bow deer permit (just in case one crosses my path while hunting turkeys)...been scouting a couple of zones for turkeys but haven't spotted any yet. If anybody has any tips please feel free to reach out...I was encouraged to go by the archery range at Assunpink WMA but haven't seen one there yet. I think I heard one, but that might just be my ear playing tricks on me. Don't want to do much calling because I know that's more of a Spring turkey tactic but I also don't wanna piss off any deer hunters on my first go around. Hope everyone has a good season, and best of luck on your hunt.

-Danny
