Mount Olive is open, but they plan an early dismissal. Lots of towns that might have otherwise called it a day stayed open today because of all the days we missed during the Sandy mess.

Yeah, my son is really upset as the school ski-trip was cancelled, so the snowbaord will be staying dry - going to be a LONG weekend here in the house.

I have no problem with them closing schools if they know there's a lot of snow coming. Why put them in a potential dangerous situation,less vehicles on the road the better.I would think parents would be happy.

I agree, but this is their last snow day. they had off a week and 1/2 ago for no reason, was no snow, no ice, just rain. at least give a 1/2 day so they don't use their snow days, which need to be made up at the end of the year

Am I the only one that finds a SKI TRIP being cancelled because of SNOW, just a tad humorous?

 

Sorry your son doesn't get to go snowboarding. On the bright side, if there are any hills around, he should be able to have some fun in the snow this weekend. Looks like we're in for the motherload!
