Scratch bird hunt.

Well? I was getting bored last nite so I texted Paul a Hunts preserve and asked if I can get a few birds put out for this morning, his answer? Just come down in the morning and hunt up some of the scratch birds! So me and my pup went down and hunted for a couple hours, the weather was wet, wet, wet!! When we started Attila locked up in the first few minutes on a hen pheasant, one shot and in the bag!! Shortly after we came across a rooster that was a track star!! I left him to hole up and went looking for other birds, but Attila was getting colder and wetter!! As we worked back up to where I though that rooster might be he locks up on point, a chucker flushes!! I miss with two shots! As I opened the gun to reload the rooster flushes ten yards behind me!! Not shot! I reload and we continue, the dog locks again and I get a second crack at the chucker, and knock it down, so we hunted for about two hours found three got a mixed bag, I stopped after Atilla quit hunting, he looked cold and miserable, so we went back to the barn to warm up and allow Paul to stock for clients. The birds I was hunting where left overs, the fam has been holding hold overs well this year!

Hunt with a Vizsla, cause life's to short to hunt with an ugly dog! :D RIP Tilly monster. (Attila) 2004-2017.

Not bad, would've been better if it was a bit drier!! My dog hates hunting when cold and wet, I can't blame him for that!!!
