Are you using a dubbing loop with the ice dubbing?  If not, it is much more difficult and your flies won't last very long.  Ice dubbing is artificial material that has a mind of its own, hence the dubbing loop method to keep it in place on the hook without unraveling,

i try to stay away from ice dubbing lol. again your fly looks buggy. thats good. we should start a "fly tying thread" in fly fishing where we can post our pictures of the flies we tie.

Not bad, I've tied hundreds of 60 second red heads. Forget the ice and stick with Angora, take a small pile of Angora and chop it finer with your snips, add wax to your monocord and spin it on like any other dubbing. I found this way much easier than wasting time with loops Good luck...keep at it
