NJ Bear Butchers

I want to shoot a bear this season, but don't know where to get it butchered. I hunt in northern Sussex. What's a normal butchering fee for a bear? Thanks.

Call Joe at 57 West 908-619-0195.  Might be a hike for you, but he's been very reasonable with me when others have given me the meat from their bears.  Pricing depends on what you want done.  BTW, his Bear Sausage is the best sausage I have ever had.

Jorge & Son is now in your area and he does bears.  Not sure what he charges, however.  He can do all the specialty things you want as well in the new shop.

Jorge & Sons is who we use for all our deer butchering.  Jorge puts your animal in cold storage as soon as you get there and freezes your meat right after cutting.  His shop is super clean and you always get back the animal you brought in.  He also offers alot of options on cuts and sausage.  On top of it all he is a really great person!

 

The butchering will cost $1/pound and $100 to take the hide out for trophy.
