Field Dress a Pheasant in 10 Seconds

I've only pheasant hunted on a private preserve where, at the end of the hunt, they let you exchange the birds you killed with birds that were already cleaned. So I never had to clean them. But take a look at this video - is this how people field dress their pheasants? I can't believe how easy this looks!

I think the time I tried it it was with a wood duck......Maybe it doesn't work on waterfoul

Watch for your hands slipping. Very easy to get cut on spurs.

i just filet out the breast meat with a fishing/filet knife.  takes about the same amount of time and you don't have to clip the wings.  just tear the skin back off of the breast and slice from the center breast bone under the meat.  makes nice boneless cuts.

Never had luck with this method, perhaps I'm too simple. I usuall just tear the skin and slice off the breasts.

I remember seeing some guys in Maine that did something similar with their grouse, when we use to go up there
