Up there this past week for our 24th Anniversary.  Oh what fun.  We visited a lot of the wineries around Seneca and Cayuga Lakes.  We tasted way too many to count.  Had we been smart enough to have a limo drive us, we would tasted exponentially more (oh well, next time).  We bought a case of each of those on the table.  We almost need a U-haul.  Highly recommended.  And there are numerous breweries as well as hard cider makers for those who are not so much into the wines.

We have been meaning to get out there to hike Watkins Glen, now we really need to make it happen.

I have a place up there by the village of Cayuga. I love it there and the deer hunting is awesome!! Tasted many a sampler from both those areas you've mentioned. You pet the donkey when you were there? I forget the name of the winery but the wine was good.
