Chiggers are out in force!

I'm surprised I haven't been covered in bugs yet this year.  Been walking through the woods without any bug spray and haven't picked up any hitchhikers.  Walked through plenty of spiders webs.

Now that I've said that I'll be picking a generation of ticks off myself during opening day.

Sapere aude.

Audeamus.

When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.

I got chewed up pretty bad a few weeks ago scouting in VA.  Used a bug spray with deet but it didn't seem to work.  Going back to VA to hunt in October . . . Besides Permanone, what's the best preventative spray down to use?

Looks like it's time for me to pimp "Chigg Away"

Used this in VA and although it didn't help me get my deer, I didn't get any Chiggers this time . . .

If you get into chiggers on your skin rub

Some Clorox on yourself quickly.

I use this on the kids after they get

Attacked when they come out with me it works great.

Chiggers don't seem to like me too much

But I've had to rub down w bleach a few times.

It kills em an feels better.

And they WILL live in your vehicle for a while.

I couldn't believe yesterday I got a few chiggers on me.  After that cold snap, I thought it would have killed them all!

I didn't have a ton like in the pictures above, but had enough that I sprayed down once I got to the next spot I wanted to scout!

What did you use? Cause when I first went down to Va in August I sprayed down with a repellent containing deet and it didn't work.  I got bit up pretty bad. The Chigg Away worked really well but always looking for other good products to keep in my arsenal.
