Typical New Mexico Pronghorn hunt just outside of Corona , N.M. Fly in Friday night hunt Saturday and Sunday and home on Monday. Shot this guy at 180 yards with a Weatherby Ultra LightWeight in 270 Weatherby Mag. I used a 130 gr Nosler Ballistic tip. Never again. Blew my cape apart. Fun hunt, in and out.

Might as well have used an RPG, good graces and holy moly!!

Congrats though!

Going with a replacement cape?

I really don't know much about pronghorns but that seems to have great width (if that matters), great length, and hard to see the cutters but they look good. Right? What's an antelope like that score?

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear
