For example, I clicked on a new thread by X7, and it took me to a second page of welcomes.
Suggestion: Is there any way to re-direct my clicking to the top of the oldest page?

This is a common question and there is an FAQ on it in the Forum Questions and Answers forum, but I'll answer it quickly here.
Basically the recent posts are exactly that, the most recent specific posts...so when you click the link, it takes you too that most recent (and latest) post.
I'll work on enhancing this section moving forward to help with the functionality you and other users are looking for

I added the list of (Pages 1 2 3...) for a given thread to the Recent Posts section, and the default behavior of clicking the main thread link will now take you to the top of the last page.
Please let me know if you experience any issues with the update, or have any additional recommendations.
I may try to further enhance this by giving users a configurable option to specify how they want that click action to work:
- Go to first post on the last page
- Go to last post in the thread
I'll add that to the list

Thanks for the "Outstanding Efforts" in trying to accommodate all users.
Great sign of things to come.
Keep up the good work, and tell us how we can help.
