I have been going there for a couple years now it really is a great place. Plus I live right down the street.  Dropped off a doe Saturday anxiously waiting to pick it up.....I'm hungry!!

While I am eating their snack sticks as I type, I figure bump this thread again for these folks. Brought my first deer to Hartman's a couple weeks ago. Friendly people, good service, and the meat you get back is really good. Plus, I can't believe how much meat I got back, too! Wife is already complaining it takes up too much room in the freezer. :whatever:  I don't think I can eat it all. I'm gonna offer to give some to the couple folks that let me hunt their properties as a thank-you.

I felt like I ordered half their menu, but I didn't scratch the surface. What I've tried so far:

* BBQ snack sticks - like a mild-flavored Slim Jim. Excellent snack.

* Hot sausage - just... awesome. Nuff said.

* Ground venison with pork - my first pound of this I made meatballs. Cook them in your spaghetti sauce or just bake and put them on a roll. Yum.

I also got a couple kielbasa which I didn't try yet. I have a smoked sausage that I'm defrosting so I can try that soon - can't wait for that one.

They also skull-capped it for me no charge so I can eventually hang my antlers after I clean it up.

Anyway, I give a  to Hartman's. I'll be taking all my future deer there. Thanks to all for your recommendations - I got their name from the forums.
