Tire recommendations Ford F 150

Recommended Posts

I had a 1998 Ford F-150 and purchased Michelin LTS/MS tires to replace the orginals at 30,000 miles.  I got 40,000 miles on those Michelins,  and about the same out of the next set.  Great tire if you are looking to stay at OEM size  and are not looking for a dedicated off-road tire.  The Michelin´s are great all season tire that can handle rain and snow, have a quite ride on pavement, and can handle some off-road stuff as well. They were a big upgrade for the Goodyear RT/S tires they replaced.

I think Michelins newest version of these might be LTS/MS2?  FYI - I believe both Costco and BJś sell a version of these tires; so there might be some cost savings there if you are a club member and are OK with a big box handling the installation (mount/balence, etc.).  These clubs also usually have free rotation and balancing for life of tires.

Good luck and let us know what decide on.

I have a 2008 f150 king ranch 4x4, and I’m getting new tires put on Thursday. I’ve decided to go with the Goodyear a/t adventure with Kevlar. Goodyear’s do not rank up there with the BF Goodrich, Or michelin all terrain tires, but I got a quote of $800 for 4 tires out the door tax included, and there’s an $80 mail in rebate right now, which would bring my total to $720 which is pretty good for 20 inch rims. There are so many good brands as well, such as general, Firestone, Toyo, and a good Chinese brand named kumho. Go on tirerack.com put in your trucks info and you can see all the top rated tires. I believe the BF Goodrich Ko2 are considered the top of the line, but would cost almost $100 more per tire after my rebate. Shop out your local shops and see who offers the best value tire for your budget, for me it is the Goodyear kevlars. They have pretty good reviews, and 60,000 mile tread warranty

Once you get a Tirerack price give discounttiredirect a call.  They will beat them on price by a substantial margin.  Just bought wifey tires last week after she took out some frustration on a pot hole and hit it probably as hard as she could.

Don't you have to have those tires Balanced and Mounted once yo get them Are they still a better buy with the added cost

Tire Farm Farmingdale has competitive pricing all Included.

Just put new Tires on Wifes 1996 Pontiac Trans Am car from Costco beat local shops plus free rotation and flat repairs.
