Just picked up a new gun to me

The .30-06 has been around along time (since 1906) and has taken a lot of game, so I don't see why you wouldn't be happy with it. ..I have a Remington 760 pump in .30-06, so it is not much different than a 7600. I have taken a black bear in Alberta, and a Mule Deer in Idaho both with 180 grain bullets. Good luck with it.

RB, good luck with the 7600. I've owned 2 760s, one in .308 the other in .270. Best thing I did was to install an inexpensive new trigger spring kit on both. It vastly improved the trigger pull and made it very huntable. The stocked 760/7600 have a heavy trigger pull and considerable creep. The spring kit will improve it. Both my 760s shot Corelokts and Federal Partitions 1.5-2" @100 yds.

Thats cute, dont want to get a little blood in your pickup? Bet you have fruity air fresheners in your vents too. Lol j/k

Yeah I know, but with multiple back fusions and a seventy year old hunting partner it's just easier this way.   Plus the bunny huggers really like it, they always wave at me with one finger.
