I am currently training my first waterfowl lab. I decided i was not going to try and hunt her this season so I have focused on obedience and basic retrieving. I plan to start focus on her more advanced gundog training once the weather breaks to prepare for next season and hopefully try and do a junior hunt test in the summer/fall. I would like to find a retriever club to join in SJ area to train with.

 

People have previously mentioned Navesink which seems great but training grounds are too far ( 1.5 hours)for a dad with young ones at home. I am in vineland area. Anyone know of any retriever clubs in my area that meet regularly to train (once or twice a month). Thanks.

There used be a club in Winslow. I think it is called Pinelands. I used hunt back there, but got posted. Near Piney Hallow Rd
