A friend is asking me to go...Never did it before, may try it this year....Have zero clue about it though. 

 

GO!  It is highly addictive!  I always look forward to predator season in the spring every year.  I wait until February to go out and shoot during the day.  Hunting predators is a whole new level of hunting, and the challenge is very rewarding.

Brother and I tried every wknd in z4 with no luck last yr. We tried mouth and electric caller. Hopefully it'll be a better season this yr.

I was going to go tonight, but punked out due to the cold and wind. I mainly go in NYS because I can use my .243 at night.

We can use centerfire cartridges up to .25 here.

I have the "Dead Coyote" choke and ammo for my 835. With that I can take them out to about 60 yds, but with the .243 I can take them at 100+ yds. The limiting factor with that set up is the light. I much prefer the long range shooting.

I will be out in Feb but heading down to Florida at the end of the month for a event I was invited to participate in. It's a coyote contest and from what I understand they are overrun with yotes down there. Should be interesting as we are only allowed to use 22 rilfes and shotguns but I'm told we will be killing yotes.
