Pheasant Hunting the Storm

 I know of a thick grown up field that has a lot of birds yet.  I'm thinking of hunting it tomorrow morning in the snow and wind.  You think they will be in there with the storm? I'm thinking they might hold tight and I can sneak up on them and flush them.  No dog. My other option is to wait until Friday, but it's going to be frigid and still windy.  Opinions?

I dont know nomad, maybe you ought to wait to see what the weather looks like in the morning. I admire your tenacity but tomorrow could be tough with high winds. If you go dont leave any skin exposed. Good luck

That sounds like a dare to me.   Now I gotta go.  Just started up again this year.   Been so busy chasing deer with the endless deer season, that I forgot how much I enjoy it. Used to go all the time with my Dad as a kid, but then there was no deer hunting in November.   Just got a new box of high brass Federal #6's.  Got my old Browning auto 5, 12gauge, with poly choke cased up a ready to go.  Thing weighs a ton but it's what I used as a kid.

I have to be up that way around noon,  after the snow anyway in order to plow and salt a driveway,  so I'll give it a try first thing.  Will let you know how I make out.
