It was on facebook, from a hunter here in NJ, shot yesterday, he said it's weight is 60#

Yeah, that thing has some big mitts.  I usually see them with skinnier legs, and these are thick.

 

Glad it's out of the woods though.

 

I have a feeling we're going to see trophy-level yotes in a few years, just like we did with the bears.  When Murphy takes ARs off the shelves and out of the woods, I might not predator hunt anymore in protest.  The bears and the yotes will be decimating everything in NJ.

that's  a big one there, I would like to know where it came from.

There are some big ones out there.   I was driving when one ran in front of me at about 20' and my wife said "that's as big as a German Shepard" and she wasn't wrong,

Holy moly, that's a big Dog! I've seen a few down in SJ that the last few years that I swear looked like full grown German shepards. Below is a small yote I shot I while turkey hunting 2 years ago. Seems like they like turkey calls and styrofoam decoys. Maybe I'll try hunting them the same way this winter but with the AR in tow.

here is mine from a few years ago, shotgun opener.....weighed in at 40 #
