How are trout linked to the decline of elk in Yellowstone?

Hmmm I didn't look it up initially, but I'd figured the decline of elk to some level has to do with the wolves out there?

I have no idea how trout would link to that though...

 

After looking it up, I see I wasn't far off, but I won't spoil it :)

Pretty crazy how everything is linked together.  Mess with one critter and who knows what else will be impacted down the road.

That was a cool little quiz, and you're right...nature is all about balance.  You corrupt one aspect of it, and while nature will adjust/adapt, it could have some marked changes on it's composition.

We talked about this on staff a year or two ago, so I didn't want to weigh in.  Let's make others think a bit about the direct correlation between two or more native species.
